❤️ A Power Up Generator Solutions 501(c)(3) Initiative

When the Power Fails, Some Families Can't Wait.

Project LifeLine provides backup power for low-income, medically fragile residents who depend on electricity-powered home medical equipment. Because no one should choose between rent and the machine that keeps them breathing.

The Problem Nobody Budgets For

Across our eight states, thousands of households run oxygen concentrators, CPAP machines, home dialysis equipment, powered wheelchairs, ventilators, and refrigerated medications on a grid that fails every storm season. For most families an outage is an inconvenience; for these households it's a medical emergency with a countdown. And the families most exposed, low-income, elderly, rural, are exactly the ones for whom a backup power system is furthest out of reach.

🫁

The Stakes

An oxygen concentrator draws 300 to 600 watts. Without power, the family's options are an ER trip during a storm, or hoping the outage ends first. Multi-day ice storm and hurricane outages in our states make that gamble deadly.

🔋

The Solution

Right-sized backup power: battery bridge systems that keep the device running instantly and silently, scaled up to standby power where life-sustaining equipment demands it, plus bilingual preparedness education for the household.

🤝

The Model

Our 501(c)(3) supplies equipment at cost, licensed contractors donate or discount installation where needed, and institutional partners (utilities, hospitals, health foundations, aging networks) fund deployments with full impact reporting.

How It Works

Apply or Refer

Families, caregivers, social workers, and discharge planners can apply by email or phone. Reviews are direct and confidential.

Assess the Need

We size the medical loads from device nameplates, review outage exposure at the address, and design the right-scale solution.

Fund and Deploy

Partner funding or program funds cover equipment at our nonprofit cost; licensed contractors handle any installation safely.

Stay Protected

The household gets the system, training, our bilingual preparedness guide, and a direct line to us: before the next storm, not after.

For Funders and Institutional Partners

Utilities reduce medical-priority restoration pressure and life-safety exposure. Hospitals and health systems reduce readmissions and storm-driven ER surges. Health foundations and aging networks reach exactly the households their missions name. Project LifeLine gives each a turnkey deployment channel: a 501(c)(3) partner (tax ID 33-1354240, Candid transparency profile) supplying equipment at cost, licensed installation coordination, bilingual household education, and per-deployment impact reporting.
